The works to protect the eroded section of river bank adjacent to Dalarossie Church are now complete. There were a few delays due to the heavy rain encountered last month, however RJ McLeod were still able to complete within the permitted timeframe allowed by SEPA (30/9/18). A final Completion Certificate has been issued to them. RJM will maintain a watching brief on the new bank protection over the next year until the end of the defects period (30/9/19) to see how it performs, especially during any high water events that may occur.
Repair to the river bank was funded by The Strathdearn Community Charitable Trust and The Highland Council, paying half each.
Here are some photographs of the completed rock armour protection.
