Activities on site

The blockwork forming the stair enclosure has been completed to cap slab level.

Diagonal bracing 90% completed with 1 bay of highlevel bracing in the main hall still to be fitted.

All window & glazed door installations are complete. Windows are being protected with temp adhesive film.

Scaffold erection is complete and has been taken into use.

The South elevation of the roof has been slated and the snow board clips installed. Slate flakes and chips to be cleaned off the roof. Roofers were loading out the slates to the north elevation at the time of the visit.

A birdcage scaffold/crash deck has been installed below the main hall roof lights. Rooflights are due Tuesday 28th May and expect to be complete by end of the week.

Joiners installing Kingspan PIR insulation at floor cassette perimeter.

1st fix electrical works are progressing well with cable runs for lighting & small power well on.

Plumbers are due back on site Monday 27th to commence 1st fix plumbing and heating.

Drain stacks have been installed to 1st floor level.

HD straps across the GF – 1st floor kit panels to have been re fitted where windows prevented full length fixing. Note HD straps and nylon banding may have to be covered with black tape if visible through air gaps in cladding boards.

Battens and counter battens for wall cladding are being installed. Insect mesh at base level has gaps where mesh has been stapled to the rear panel. Have been made good.

Joiners are hoping to start cladding during the course of w/c 27th May. Labour and weather permitting.

Upcoming Activities

Progress & complete M&E 1st fix. Progress Joiner roughing. Fire capping over stair well. Joist shoes due on site 28th May. Complete Roof lights installation Complete roof slating. Complete framing for larch cladding on external elevations Commence Larch cladding. Undertake bat survey to Millenium Hall w/c 3rd June weather permitting.

1st fix electrical works are ongoing with cable runs being pulled for lighting & small power

1st fix Mechanical & plumbing has commenced with drain stacks being installed.

HD straps across the GF – 1st floor kit panels to have been re fitted where windows prevented full length fixing.

1st delivery delivery of slates has arrived on site.

Battens and counter battens for wall cladding are being installed. Insect mesh at base level has gaps where mesh has been stapled to the rear panel. See photos below. Discussed with joiners on site to make good integrity of the mesh.

Voids in the walls where cripple studs appeared to be missing in the main hall were discussed. Compass consulted with Scotframe and it was confirmed studs should have been installed at the factory. The missing studs have now been added to the wall structure. See photos below

Roof cassettes installation complete 100% inc the remaining fixings to be completed.

Diagonal bracing 90% completed with 1 bay of highlevel bracing in the main hall still to be fitted.

All window & glazed door installations are complete.

The offsite foul drainage is now completed with Scottish Water inspections carried out periodically as required. The CCTV survey of the drainage has been done. With a final inspection to be done when the surfacing is complete.

Construction of the parking areas at the road and millenium hall are substantially complete.

Joiners have completed subfloor insulation and separation membrane in all areas. Underfloor heating installation has been completed and the GF has now been screeded.

Scaffold erection is complete and has been taken into use.

Activities on site

The blockwork forming the stair enclosure has been completed to cap slab level.

The GF Slab has been poured and is complete. The rough and loose areas have been scraped and screeded.

Glulam erection is complete. The main posts, tie beams and trusses have been erected and Gf & 1st floor Panel installation is complete.

Roof cassettes installation complete 100% with some fixings to be completed where inaccessible with cherrypicker. These can now be accessed via the scaffold.

Diagonal bracing 50% completed with highlevel bracing still to be fitted.

GF window & door installations are 80% complete with 1st floor windows to be installed once the scaffold has been completed.

The base course render has now been completed.

Construction of the parking areas at the road and millenium hall are substantially complete.

Joiners are completing subfloor insulation and separation membrane in stairwell and kitchen. Underfloor heating installation is underway and tidy.

Floor screed erimeter insulation and separation membrane has been installed tidily.

Screed company has given date of 24th May to pour the GF screed. Compass are pushing for an improvement on this date.

Scaffold erection will be complete Tuesday 30th for it to be taken into use from 1st May.

Compass Joiners & Glulam Solutions Joiners will be working on roof from the 1st May.

Window installation will re commence 30th May to be complete by Friday 3rd May

Upcoming Activities Continue with window and door fitting Complete scaffold erection Complete all framing, partitions and balcony protection timber makeup as far as possible. M&E 1st fix has been scheduled to start 29th April. Plasterboard deliveries were scheduled for 15th April of May now but have been moved into May to allow M&E to start. Fire capping at the stair is with Makar just now for warrant amendment submission. Progress with car park works Complete stair blockwork enclosure MacLeod Roofing will commence on site 29th April. Roof lights are due on site w/c 29th April.

The blockwork forming the stair enclosure has been completed to cap slab level.

The GF Slab has been poured and is complete. The rough and loose areas have been scraped and screeded. Proposals awaited from Compass as to how the GF slab issues will be rectified. Loose material scraped off and thin screed applied before laying UFH insulation.

Glulam erection is complete. The main posts, tie beams and trusses have been erected and Gf & 1st floor Panel installation is complete.

Roof cassettes installation complete 100% with some fixings to be completed where inaccessible with cherrypicker. These can now be accessed via the scaffold.

Diagonal bracing 50% completed with highlevel bracing still to be fitted.

GF window & door installations are 80% complete with 1st floor windows to be installed once the scaffold has been completed.

The base course render has now been completed.

Construction of the parking areas at the road and millenium hall are substantially complete.

Glulam squad is due back to complete roof battens and final snagging once the scaffold erected and signed off.

Joiners are laying subfloor insulation ready for separation membrane and underfloor heating to be laid. Internal partitions and fixed furnishings will be set out on the insulation for the UFH pipework to be located correctly.

Screed company has given date of 20th May to pour the GF screed. Compass are pushing for an improvement on this date.

Scaffold erection will be complete early next week to allow works on the roof to begin.
