Invitation to attend SCD AGM on Feb3, 7pm, in The Strathdearn

Dear Member,

You are invited to attend the upcoming AGM due to be held in the The Strathdearn Hub on Thursday 3^rd February 2022 7.00pm. We will be giving you an update on what the company has been doing in the last year and how a number of the projects are progressing followed by a Q and A session. Business will include:

– the appointment of new directors. Any ordinary member can be nominated to stand by two other ordinary members and we would like to encourage applications to ensure a wide base of experience on the Board. Should the number of valid nominations exceed the number of positions available, the candidates will be chosen by ballot on the evening. The nomination form can be downloaded HERE and completed forms can be returned by email or posted using the address on the form. The final date they must be received by is Thursday 27^th January 2022

– getting approval for the final group accounts for Strathdearn Community Developments for 2021. An overview of the financial activities for both the charity and the trading company in the year will also be presented at the meeting. View draft accounts HERE.

– approving the minutes from the previous AGM. View minutes HERE.

Due to the one year expiry date on proxy voting forms, any ordinary members wishing to vote but who are unable to attend the meeting would need to submit a new proxy voting form which can be obtained from the Company Secretary for return by 1^st February 2022.

SCD Information Evening – Tuesday 11th January, 7-8pm.

6th January 2022 / Strathdearn

Changes to the structure of the Strathdearn Community Developments and White River Trading Boards are proposed for 2022 (see diagram below).

In 2022 we will see Board Directors step down at the AGM and we require new people to step up on to the two Boards. It is great that we can keep the experience of some current Board Directors but we also want to encourage new faces with fresh ideas onto both boards.

No previous experience is necessary, in fact having no experience of being on a board is sometimes a good thing, full support and relevant training will be given and for 2022 we are looking to encourage short meetings once a month for both boards.

At the online information meeting, Elaine Macleod, Company Secretary; along with a Director of one of the Boards, will be available for any questions between 7pm and 8pm on Tuesday 11th January 2021.

This will be a good opportunity for an informal chat and to raise any ideas or suggestions. Please contact Elaine for a zoom link.

Strathdearn Community Developments AGM – 7pm Thursday 3^rd February 2022

It is hoped that the AGM will be held at the Strathdearn Hub for those who wish to attend in person but it will also have Zoom video conferencing access for those that would prefer that option. SCD will confirm the details nearer the date and follow government covid guidelines.
