All persons wishing to hire an eBike from The Strathdearn must be over the age of 18 and should live within the IV13 boundary of Strathdearn. Our eBikes may be ridden by U18s but the hire agreement must be made by a parent or guardian over 18. Persons under 14 may not legally ride an ebike on a public road.

ROAD SAFETY  

All persons using the eBikes are expected to be able to cycle safely on public roads and be able to follow the Highway Code and the ‘Extra Rules for Cyclists’ (Rules 187-211).

All eBike hires include:

· Bike and battery

· Helmet

· Bike lock

· Charging unit

· Bike cover

· Puncture repair kit

The ebikes have been made possible with funding from Energy Saving Trust and the wider support infrastructure through partnership with Cycling Scotland. Free trials for residents are subsidised through the community Health and Wellbeing Fund by Strathdearn Community Developments
