Gemma Corbett, Community Liaison officer for Balfour Beatty, attended Strathdearn Council meeting on 9th September to present an update on the latest arrangements for traffic management during A9 Dualling.

A9 Realignment at Tomatin – Key Dates:

  • 27 October for 1 week– overnight temporary traffic lights and convoy will be in place on A9 to complete final stages of realignment
  • 1 November 2025 – A9 realignment at Tomatin and new access junction to Tomatin will be implemented (access junction is subject to change)
  • Summer 2026 – Alterations will be implemented at the access junction to Tomatin to facilitate permanent works

Sheet piling at Moy/Lynebeg – Key Dates

  • Night shift commences 29th September for 4 weeks
  • Works will take place from Monday evening each week, from 7:30pm to 6:00am and take place each night up to and including Friday night. No works will take place on Saturday night or Sunday night.
  • A final week of dayshift/backshift will commence on the 27th of October. These works will take place from 8am to 9:30pm each day during this week.
  • Two-way temporary traffic signals will be in place during these works on both nightshift and dayshift/backshift.
