I’ve received a request from Lauren McKinley who has bought the Old Free Church by Findhorn Bridge. She spoke to the community council earlier this month about her project to renovate the church and build a bungalow nearby. The council was favourable to the plans and offered to write a letter of support. Lauren’s winter let is coming to an end. She doesn’t ‘do’ Facebook so asked me if I would share the following appeal with the community:
“In mid-April the house I am renting is turning into a holiday let- with an exorbitant monthly price I cannot afford. So I will be homeless. I have been looking at multiple rental websites for several weeks now and found NOTHING! Well- not quite true- there was a small cottage in Cawder but when I inquired they told me that too many people were interested so they were not showing it anymore.
I don’t require much- nothing fancy- but would need a place with an enclosed garden (for a very well mannered dog). I was wondering if such a request could be posted on the community website and on facebook (I am not on facebook). My thought is that somebody may know somebody…”
