The Medical Group have not met for some time due to Covid-19. Then, the GP Contract with the government changed a few years ago no longer allowing GP practices to be the preferred delivery model for vaccinations.
However, the medical group, which is under the umbrella of SCD, will be happy to arrange transport for folks who are struggling to get to vaccination appointments as bus timetables do not always allow this to be practical and we appreciate not everyone has access to a car.
NHS are still providing our Care at Home service and for this we are so thankful.
We also extend thanks to Jason and Andrew our dream team of snow clearers who diligently make sure carers have access to patients and those who need out for appointments or ambulances that need in.
Milton of Leys pharmacy continue to be a great asset to our community by uplifting prescriptions from Inverness or Aviemore surgeries and will deliver direct to your home. Ideal in this weather and the ever-rising cost of fuel. Val and Richard are both pharmacists and have various skills they can promote. By the time you read this, Val will be providing ear and healthcare through Tympa – this will include ear examination, micro suction ear wax removal, hearing assessment and ongoing support. There will be a charge for some or all of it – please phone for enquiries on 01463 771001, but if you are suffering from hearing loss due to wax, this service can speed things up for you and is a quick and safe method.
The de fib training is still in the pipeline and anyone who wants to add their name to the list – also stating whether they prefer a day or evening course – pm me with your name and number.
Elizabeth (Liz) Campbell.
